Blueberries Improve Brain Function and Memory

Blueberries Improve Brain Function and Memory

We all have heard blueberries being termed a superfood but did you know that consuming blueberries can improve your brain function and memory?
According to studies, antioxidants in blueberries tend to accumulate in areas of the brain that relate to intelligence. They interact with nerve cells, increasing cell communication and stimulating the regeneration of brain cells. This can improve both short and long-term memory.

A human study of elderly participants found that blueberries were linked to delays in cognitive ageing by up to 2.5, showing it’s possible to reverse the forgetfulness of old age! That's great news for people in my age group!

Blueberries are Anti-inflammatory

Blueberries also contain compounds that can reduce inflammation in the central nervous system. Inflammation in the central nervous system is known to be a key issue in neuro-degeneration. This discovery could possibly have implications for the future treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's, Dementia and other degenerative diseases. Oxidative stress can accelerate the brain’s ageing process, and negative effects on brain function, so consuming blueberries are so very beneficial!

This is why we formulated Santivia Immune with a high concentration of antioxidant-rich Blueberry Fruit Extract. It's indeed a Superfood!

Don't you agree blueberries deserve the title of "Superfood"?
